Lantra

Lantra is the Sector Skills Council for the nature-based sector. We are an independent, UK-wide charity that exists to help ensure the skills needs of the sector are met. 

There is no other Scottish or UK organisation working across the entirety of the land and nature-based sector - from Agriculture to Aquaculture or Equine to Ecology, Forestry to Fisheries! Each of our industries is very different but all offer a huge variety of exciting career options and opportunities. 

We are here to help others to be more aware of the wide range of jobs within the sector and help them to find their path, or field.. or forest! 

Daydream Believers and their unique approach to curriculum and learning is helping us to do just that - by helping more young people to discover learning beyond what will 'be in the exam' and get them outdoors, being creative and having fun! 

Our Lessons

The deep sea is a strange and curious world of tentacles, fins, claws and tails. Of creatures not yet discovered and myths of those that never existed. SeaStory is a new streaming platform sharing stories that inspire people to protect the ocean's future. In this challenge, learners will pitch a short film idea for SeaStory and create an exciting storyboard that reels the audience in.
