Creative Innovation Qualification
Creative Innovation is an SCQF Level 5 & 6 qualification (24 credits) that empowers learners to turn bold ideas into real world solutions.
Blending creativity with business thinking, it helps students explore, innovate, spot opportunities, and design ideas with impact. It’s a space to think creatively and commercially, and to gain the tools and confidence to lead change and develop essential skills for the future.
The first playlist, Dreamers and Doers, encourages learners to move from ideas to action by tackling challenges that connect creativity with real opportunities to make a positive impact. The second playlist, Carers and Darers, encourages learners to reimagine the world around them and become changemakers, exploring health, education, and the moments that matter most.
Dreamers & Doers Playlist
If you’re just getting started, begin with our Dreamers & Doers Playlist,
it’s the perfect first step into the qualification and a great way
to introduce your learners to big ideas and bold thinking.

Sparks
Challenge 1
Learners are challenged to dream the impossible by reimagining an everyday problem through curiosity, creativity and bold thinking.
Along the way, they explore their values and discover how innovation begins when personal purpose meets imaginative action.

Joy in a Box
Challenge 2
What if we measured success by how often we made people smile?
Learners reimagine an old phone box as a joyful business idea, then explore how that spark of happiness could grow into a product, service or campaign with real world impact.

Snack to the Future
Challenge 3
In this challenge, learners step into the role of food innovators, coming up with surprising new snacks that could take the world’s taste buds by storm.
From radical ingredients to sustainable packaging, they develop a bold concept and design a campaign
to take their idea from curious to craveable.
Creative Playlists
Our Dreamers & Doers and Carers & Darers Playlists are free to download and ready to teach, even if you’re not taking part in our Creative Innovation Qualification. Each playlist brings together three connected challenges, and individual projects can also be explored separately on our Resources page.
Dreamers & Doers encourages learners to turn their values, curiosity and imagination into bold ideas for products, services and campaigns.
Carers & Darers invites learners to become changemakers, using creativity and empathy to rethink health, education and the moments that matter in everyday life.
Clicking the Add to Toolkit button will save the playlist to your personal toolkit, which you can access from the top-right corner of the page. From there, you can download all the resources and start exploring, collaborating and bringing Creative Innovation into your classroom.
