Part 1
Part 1 – Connect
Your learners begin by exploring what defines their generation, reflecting on values, experiences, and identity that make them unique. They investigate sneaker culture, its history, and how design can be more sustainable. Throughout this stage, they hear from designers and innovators in the sneaker world, gaining insight and inspiration for their own work.
Part 2
Part 2 – Deconstruct
Students take apart and analyse a real sneaker to understand its construction, materials, and design details. This hands-on activity develops critical observation skills and helps them see how design choices connect to function, sustainability, and storytelling.
Part 3
Part 3 – Imagine
Learners design their own generation sneaker, a concept that communicates a message or story important to their generation. They use AI and 3D tools to prototype and visualise their design, building digital skills alongside creativity. The challenge concludes with a collaborative class exhibition, where students curate and present a collection of designs that capture the voices and visions of their generation.
