Threads invites young people to design their own unique sneaker — a creation that captures the spirit of their generation. Along the way, they become designers, thinkers, and storytellers, exploring identity, culture, and the issues that matter most to them. Ideas are sparked, tested, and refined through sketchbooks, digital tools, and collaborative reflection.

Threads has been created in partnership with Education Scotland, De Montfort University, and Team Glue — bringing together expertise in education, design, and creative storytelling. Each partner has played a vital role in shaping the challenge, ensuring it offers meaningful opportunities for young people to explore their ideas and share their perspectives. Together, we’re committed to supporting the stories that emerge as learners take part and ensuring they have the space to grow.
